• Consider the following, a client poses this challenge:
• "We have a group of people who have some limited knowledge of Access. We would like to provide them a day of training somewhere between Introductory and Intermediate. Do you guys customize?"
• The other guy's response might be to say, "Sure." What they propose is a "customized" class that takes the second half of their Intro course and the first half of their Intermediate course; and they charge you for two sets of materials - their Intro and Intermediate courseware.
• Our response is also, "Sure." From there things are a bit different.
• First we will ask the students to complete a skills assessment to ascertain what skills they are strong in and what skills they can improve on.
• Then, we consider what they need to do with Access for their jobs.
• From that, we construct a set of objectives for the students.
• Then, we analyze the skill sets of the individuals and recommend the best way(s) to obtain the training. It may be that a class is the answer or what they really need is OJT. On the other hand, some people may only need to read a few chapters in a book.

The point is, we sit-down with you to make sure we deliver to your needs. Customization can mean different things to different people. It is in your best interests to work with a vendor who recognizes this and who is flexible enough to adapt to your needs.
