Enki Training Framework Each Enki lesson is structured into three parts: Setting the Stage; Acquisition, and Consolidation. Setting the Stage includes reviewing previous lessons, objectives for the new lesson, and a lesson map for things to come. Acquisition involves Say, See, Do – The instructor talks about a learning objective, emphasizing the big picture. Then, the instructor demonstrates how to execute the learning objectives. Finally, the instructor provides exercises for the students to reinforce the learning objective. Students complete U-Try It exercises upon completion of each lesson with some guidance and prompting from the instructor. Consolidation – Upon completion of a unit (several lessons), the instructor summarizes the lessons and previews the upcoming unit. Our training incorporates adult learning theory – Our training is based on Gregorc Learning Styles. Gregorc posits there are four types of adult learners each with a different way of learning. Our training is structured with learning opportunities for each learning style. Course times and breaks are strategically scheduled to
maximize learning outcomes. Courses start at 9:00 AM and finish at 4:00 PM (six
hours of instruction). For each hour we do 50 minutes on and 10 minutes off –
this means we break for ten minutes each hour. This gives students a chance to
stretch and reflect on the lesson. Finally, for lunch, we always provide a one
hour break! |
